The attempt to save Dr. Connors collapsed when the serum was destroyed, triggering his transformation into the Lizard. Kraven brutally wounded Peter, leaving him near death. Harry unleashed his rage on the Hunters and attacked Kraven, while the Lizard escaped and the mission shifted into a fight to save Peter.
After the chaotic battle in the lab, Dr. Connors finally managed to secure a sample of the serum. He believed there was still hope and said he could use it to synthesize an antidote. For a split second, it felt like they could actually prevent the nightmare from unfolding.
That hope was shattered in a millisecond. A spear whistled through the air with deadly precision, smashing the serum sample to pieces. I saw the pure terror on Dr. Connors' face; he knew that without the serum to stabilize him, the monster inside was about to take over.
The transformation began almost instantly. As Kraven watched with the cold eyes of a hunter ready for his ultimate prize, when Dr. Connors started turning into the Lizard. So, the man we were trying to save began to slip away.
The change was gruesome. A massive tail burst from the back of Dr. Connors as his skin hardened into scales. Kraven didn't flinch; he simply drew his knife and began walking toward his hunt.
Peter lunged forward to stop Kraven from slaughtering the vulnerable doctor, but Kraven proved to be shockingly strong. He overpowered our hero with ease, turning his blade on Peter instead. It was a brutal reminder of just how dangerous Kraven really is.
Peter groaned in agony as the knife sank deep into him. To make matters worse, as Kraven wrenched the weapon away, the blade snapped, leaving a large piece of metal stayed inside Peter's body.
MJ watched in total helplessness, and Harry's expression shifted from shock to pure rage. Seeing his best friend go down like that triggered something deep inside him, and he started charging forward to reach Peter's side.
Several Hunters tried to block Harry's path, but he had reached his breaking point. In a surge of arrogance and raw power, he unleashed his abilities, wiping out the entire group of enemies in a single, devastating blast while Kraven was still standing over Peter.
The distraction gave Harry the opening he needed to attack Kraven directly. At the same moment, Dr. Connors, now fully transformed into the massive, primal Lizard, managed to break free and escaped the facility.
While Harry let out all his frustration and fury on Kraven, Peter lay on the ground, motionless as a dead man, and MJ ran toward him in a panic. The mission to save the doctor had turned into a desperate fight for Peter's life.
