I did the Unidentified Target side mission to get a Talon drone. I turned on a roof machine to lure it in. The drone ran, so I chased it across the city. I stayed behind it to download its files while dodging its guns.
At 100 percent over the river, Peter broke the drone. We saw it was following an engineer named Elaine Jordan.
I picked up a new side quest called Unidentified Target, where my main goal was to track down and catch a Talon drone. I climbed up onto a nearby roof and spotted a few of them flying around a tall building down the street.
I made my way over to that roof and found a small machine I needed to turn on. As soon as I activated it, a Talon drone flew close to check it out, spotted me, and immediately tried to escape away.
I took off right after it, using web wings mostly to keep up. To get its data, I had to stay right inside its slipstream, which was way harder than it sounds because the thing was moving crazy fast.
To make matters worse, the drone kept firing weapons back at me while I was trying to stay close. I barely kept up, watching the download slowly creep past 50 percent, wondering if I was actually going to be able to finish it before losing the target.
The chase ended up leading us out off the rooftops and straight over a giant bridge. Floating out over the open river, the download hit around 80 percent while I dodged another round of attacks from the drone.
It tried to make one final speed boost to get away, but I managed to hold onto the slipstream just long enough to hit 100 percent. Once the download finished, Peter closed the distance, grabbed the drone, and took it down for good.
After checking the files, Peter found out the drone was tracking an AI engineer named Elaine Mattoon-Jordan, and with that, the mission was done.
That's all for now. I'll write about more of this story again soon. Be safe till we meet again.
Au revoir/Goodbye.
