Searching for a way to reach a rooftop, I used arrows to silently clear guarding paper dolls from a distance before floating across. After defeating students of pain and misery, cleansing a corrupted tree, and absorbing lingering spirits, I deployed fire elemental weaves and long-range attacks to defeat a Ragged Walker.

Searching for an alternate path up to the rooftop where the Nightmares were waiting, I scanned the surrounding skyline for high ground. I spotted a nearby roof covered by a corrupted tree, guarded by a paper doll.

Staying hidden on my ledge, I drew my bow and fired some arrows across the gap. The long-range shots took down the paper doll before the creature could detect my presence or alert nearby enemies.

With the primary guard eliminated, I glided to that roof to cleanse the corrupted tree just to find a group of Students of Pain were lurking around whom I didn't notice from the distance.

I started attacking them right away after dodging their attacks. There were like four of them at once so it was a little harder but it was not impossible as I'm already a professional ghost hunter here you know.

Once the rooftop was secured, I cleansed the corrupted tree and absorbed the lingering spirits floating around the site. I was glad to find empty spaces in my Katashiro even after absorbing all those spirits in the back.

From this high position, I realized I was right next to the roof where the Nightmares had previously pinned me down. Spotting another paper doll hovering near the target area, I dropped it with arrows before moving in to face the Nightmares again.

I opened the engagement by casting fire elemental weaves at the first Nightmare, incinerating it instantly. The second Nightmare failed to manifest alongside its partner, seemingly fleeing the area last time when I confused it with arrows.

Moving along the high path toward the shrine I was primarily focused on, I encountered a few more student of misery and took them down without slowing down.

Looking down over a lower ledge, I spotted a Ragged Walker patrolling directly above a trapped spirit. I opened fire with my bow, but my arrows ran out after the first hit.

Switching to distance tactics, I pelted the Ragged Walker with continuous elemental weaves while keeping well out of its melee range, destroying the demon from afar before dropping down to free the spirit.

We'll continue in another post.
