After an engineer spotted me and exposed my position, I rushed to a mounted gun to eliminate the vanguard. I was suddenly taken down by a missile blast, but I retried carefully, discovered a loot-filled underground bunker, and waited for Commandant Rosario to approach my hidden position.
After Rosario went back into the bunker, the Vanguard came to this side so I was not getting out of the cover by any means.
The mission took a tense turn as I observed the area, noticing that Rosario was coming out into the open once again, while I focused on the engineer lady entirely.
I was waiting for both the vanguard and Rosario getting to their other spots so I'd get a chance on the engineer to take her down in stealth. So I stayed in cover and kept waiting for them to get back.
After they left the area, I was going for the engineer quietly but unfortunately, she turned around much sooner than I anticipated, and the engineer spotted me directly.
Knowing I had to act fast, I sprinted straight toward a nearby mounted gun to gain a tactical advantage. With the heavy firepower at my disposal, I was able to fight back against the incoming vanguard soldiers who were rushing my position.
I initially thought I had managed to take down Rosario as well, but out of nowhere, someone shot me with an unexpected missile blast, and took me down instantly.
It was incredibly frustrating, and I knew the engineer had completely messed things up for me by exposing my position in the first place.
After that setback, I decided to try the exact same strategy again, but I knew I had to be much faster and far more careful this time around. As I carefully made my way back into the facility, someone spotted me again.
It turned out to be the exact same person I had taken down during my first attempt.
With the entire base on high alert, I had to find a new way to infiltrate the perimeter, so I searched along a different section of the fences to get inside.
I discovered an alternative path that allowed me to get inside the main bunker. I figured I could explore the interior to see if there was anything useful I could use to turn the tide of the battle.
While the soldiers were actively looking around for me outside, I was safely inside their own base, which felt like a perfect twist.
I found a ladder leading further down and decided to use it to see if it led underground. I had no idea what was waiting for me down there, but as I reached the bottom, I discovered a hidden underground bunker packed with a lot of valuable loot.
Once I gathered everything from the underground room, the situation outside unexpectedly calmed down. It seemed like the guards had completely forgotten about me, and they even deactivated the entire alarm system.
I decided to stay hidden right there, waiting patiently for Rosario to come inside the bunker so I could take her down by surprise. She was tracking relatively close to my position, and I thought she was finally coming to meet her end.
However, she suddenly turned and walked right back out again, refusing to come any closer to where I was hiding. I could not understand why she kept avoiding the deeper sections of the base when she clearly should have investigated.
How about we continue in another post?
