While forcing open a door, Miles and Peter were swarmed by Symbiotes. Martin Li intervened, used his powers to save them and transport Miles into Peter's mind. Together, they navigated a dark realm to locate the root of Peter's pain, intending to weaken the Symbiote's grip and save his life.
While I was doing all the heavy work to open the heavy door, Miles was just watching. He offered no help at all, despite being fully capable of lending a hand.
The moment we finally got the door open, a massive Symbiote burst out accompanied by several others.
The creatures immediately launched an attack on both Spider-Men. Peter got caught up badly in their grasp, while Miles managed to stay out of their reach for a brief moment.
Deciding to help his mentor, Miles rushed in, only to get trapped right beside Peter.
Just as the Symbiotes were on the verge of swallowing both of them completely, Martin Li suddenly appeared to help.
Rather than expressing surprise or relief, Miles simply asked what Li was doing there. Li unleashed his abilities against the remaining Symbiotes to free Peter, but the alien mass was already consuming him from the inside.
Martin mentioned that he believed he could clear the infection out, but they needed to reach the source, and Miles insisted on going with him.
Martin then harnessed his power to pull Miles directly into the dark realm where he operates. We had to navigate the darkness to find Spider-Man, following the trails of dark matter that pointed toward his location.
For the first time, Martin's large monster construct was not attacking us, since Li was fighting on our side.
Li explained that we were actually inside Peter's mind, noting that the Symbiote seemed to fear his specific powers for reasons he did not yet fully understand, though we could certainly use that fear to our advantage.
I began following the Demon to search for Spider-Man as both of us floated through the dark realm. Upon reaching a central point, Martin mentioned that the Symbiote had a much stronger hold over Peter than he had initially anticipated.
He explained that we needed to weaken the creature to regain control and save Spider-Man. When Miles asked where they should begin, Li stated that they had to locate the primary source of Peter's pain.
He instructed me to follow him as he led the way toward the darkest memories, warning that he could not promise what we would discover. Shortly after, Martin's large monster construct manipulated the environment to open a portal for us to venture deeper.
