After going through all of our seeds this winter we found some seeds that we weren't going to be planting this year. We took all of those seeds and put them into a quart Ziploc bag and just kind of forgot about them for about two months. In the bag was some cantaloupe seeds, some bean seeds, and several other unidentified seeds that we had no clue what they were. Today I noticed them sitting up on one of our cabinets and decided to throw them out in an area that we have never done anything to and see if they would grow.
Since we are going to fill up all of our garden areas with plants that we want I had to find a good place to put them. I decided to throw them down the hill in front of our house since we never use that area for anything. Hopefully this will also add some ground cover so that way we don't have to weed eat it.
I took the bag and I threw the seeds into a 10x15 area. Hopefully we will get something out of it but you never know. I did not cover the seeds or water them. Since it is supposed to rain for the next couple days they should get pushed down to the dirt and also get watered.
That picture was just a small section of what I planted because on my camera you wouldn't be able to see any of the seeds if I did the whole section.
I will do another post in a couple months if anything grows.
