Last August 15, my grandma celebrated her birthday. Papa went to his hometown to visit her and for another reason. My uncle, his brother, sent us some stuff, mostly clothes, because we lost most of our clothes last year.
Lola and the boys... hahah. (From the left) It's my father, my nephews, and my father's younger brother... :)
Papa only went there on a day trip. It's easier now, because we can skip the bus ride since the port going to his hometown is literally in the small city we're currently living in.
My father bought me some coffee beans... waaaa.... This is happiness! I really like the dark-roasted coffee beans from his hometown. It's been ages since I brewed coffee. Recently, we've only been drinking instant coffee... but in the next few weeks, we'll be enjoying this every morning. <3
Among the stuff that my uncle sent us were these shoes. It was supposed to be my father's, but they were small for him. And lucky me, it fits perfectly! Hahaha
Me and my twin... lol... with Papa... :D
When my father and I went out to get some groceries, we wore some of the clothes we got from my uncle... Well, my full outfit was from them, including the shoes and the cap. :) And I just love these cargo shorts so much... they're exactly my size, too. haha
When we were on our way home, I took photos of the sunset in the coastal area. The sunsets here are amazing... I was in a moving tricycle, as always, when I took these photos. But I can't help it. It's just so pretty not to document.
The view from my bedroom window...
I took this the next morning. It's been very hot in my area for the past few weeks. The temperature usually rises to around 34 degrees Celsius; however, it's still comfortable. Our place is surrounded by trees, and it's usually windy. So even when there are rotational power outages in the middle of the day at times, it doesn't affect us that much.
When Papa and I went to the city, we took the chance to buy some fruit as well. It's mangosteen season, and it's my favorite! I also bought grapes for Mama and Papa since they love them.
I completely obliterated the mangosteen... hahaha
I should have brought more... T_T
We had quite a healthy meal, too... We had brown rice and a vegetable dish with small slices of pork... The sliced and diced carrots are for Max and Arashi to munch on, though Mama and I sometimes take some for ourselves, too. I prefer fresh carrots to cooked ones!
We've been living life one day at a time here in the countryside. It's not perfect, but we can still enjoy it in our own way.
And oh... I brewed coffee for the three of us this morning. It's becoming a part of my routine these days... to wake up, grind some coffee beans and brew some coffee for the family to start our day.
That's it for now. :) I hope you enjoyed this little update! See you around! (^^,)/
