MY MATERIALS.
The materials I used on this occasion were: watercolor, white acrylic and my watercolor brushes, on FABRIANO cardboard, Panasonic camera, LUMIX FZ47 brand, Adobe Photoshop digitizing program, for digital modifications and Power Point, to convert the images to jpg format.
STEP BY STEP PROCESS.
Friends, spectators, curators and faithful admirers of the artistic illustrations that I make, on this occasion I bring you to know an artistic procedure, explained step by step of the realization of this work in watercolor, of a flying fish, which according to my research, swims and flies on the African coast...
THE BEGINNING.
To start with the illustration, I looked for my 6B graphite pencil, and with freehand strokes, as you can see, even an experienced visual artist can make some corrections with the eraser, but in a moment I'll show you the sketch.
Here I show you how the sketch of the flying fish and part of the atmosphere that accompanies it turned out.
Look very carefully, I started to give color with my watercolor pigments, I used the light color to make the part of the sky, followed by the dark blue, green, ocher, orange and green color will be be part of the atmosphere of the place, in addition the seawater color is to recreate the sea water, and I used the colors black, dark brown, sepia, orange and ocher, to paint the flying fish.
Making details of the fish in its fins and spines with black pencil, as I also did with the movement of the sea water but this time with dark blue, as shown in the slides .
Look at how the illustration looks, notice that at the moment the flying fish comes out of the water, in the rear tail, you can admire the splash of the water generated by the movement of the tail, I managed to do that effect with white acrylic, just like the soft waves of the sea...
Some digital touches in the sky and water, apart from the fact that a sun was incorporated into the sky reflected in the sea water, and if you can observe very well the fish has its tiny scales marked like small dots on his body, all together have given rise to the artistic illustration titled:
A flying fish.
To my friends, viewers, curators and faithful followers, I made this painting remembering the beautiful moment of youth when enjoying a day of fishing was the best, in one of those fishing I managed to catch a flying fish, it was a very beautiful fish and although I didn't have a camera to take a photo of it, I never forget that fish, it was so beautiful that I made the decision to release it; but the story does not end there, since we often went fishing in the same place and when we were most concentrated on fishing, the flying fish came out, with an energetic jump it came out of the water, propelled by its rear fin, giving us a tremendous scare. but we saw it moving in the air, with all its fins open like a fan, it was a great moment that I will never forget...
