PROCESO PASO A PASO.

Good morning, Hive friends. Greetings from your good friend, the painter Ramaco, bringing you a new artistic post that I hope you enjoy.
Welcome to the Hive digital blog to see my artistic creations—or perhaps a somewhat serious landscape featuring the elegance of a colt as the main subject and a striking orange sun.
@ramaco54
Today's illustration is titled:
The Colt and the Orange Sun.
MY MATERIALS.
The materials I used this time were: watercolor, a dip pen, India ink, white acrylic paint, watercolor brushes, charcoal pencil, and pastel chalk on Fabriano cardstock. I also used a Panasonic Lumix FZ47 camera, Adobe Photoshop for digital modifications, and PowerPoint to convert the images to JPG format.
STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS.
To the viewer, curator, and loyal follower of my art: in this post, I will explain the process of creating this piece. I’ll start with the simplest steps of shaping the colt and move on to completing the surrounding environment—a key element of the art I share—as demonstrated below.
THE BEGINNING.
As you can see in the images, this shows the correct way the colt's form was developed using basic geometric shapes (circle, triangle, rectangle, and... oval), as shown in the accompanying images.
Observe the result; it is a simple demonstration of how flat geometric shapes form part of a drawing's initial sketch—or an analysis of the horse's form in its most basic, mathematical composition.
Now, I begin working on volumes, highlights, and shadows using a charcoal pencil and a white pastel stick, aiming to make the horse's form—which stands out atop a natural mound—look a bit more realistic.
As an artist, I believe every artwork should be fully developed; therefore, I will use India ink with a wash technique to achieve various visual textures within the piece. This allows me to render the atmosphere surrounding the colt on its mound.
Highlights, shadows, lines, and further details—I work on these elements in this part of the... Demonstration of the artwork's creation process, as shown in the image.
My creative whim was to add a touch of warmth to the piece by painting the sun orange; this creates a visual path leading toward the horse and the blooming wildflowers accompanying it, thus completing the work titled:
The Colt and the Orange Sun.
To the viewer, curator, and loyal follower of my art: it has been a true pleasure sharing this new piece with you—a truly elegant colt bathed in the warm glow of an orange sun, with a wildflower smiling at its feet.
I sincerely hope you enjoyed it and learned something from the art born of my knowledge.
Thank you very much for your kind attention and support for this artwork featuring a horse illuminated by an orange sun and the gaze of the audience.
A big hug—I care about you all very much.
