Here's a fun little story.

A few months ago I decided to give Pop_OS! a try and see what Linux has to offer nowadays, compared to what it had when I first tried it, in 2012.

I was pleasantly surprised, and decided to use it as my main OS for work on my main desktop PC, and then eventually ended up installing it on my laptop as well, the one I take with me to Germany to use in my free time.

On my laptop I kept using Linux more and more until it became my main OS for pretty much anything except gaming. I kept Windows as my secondary OS to play games on it.

Everything went great so far until, Windows being Windows, decided to update one day because updates are important. The updating process had an error, which resulted in my laptop getting stuck in the boot process for about 3-4 minutes for many days, requiring me to restart several times to actually get into the OS.

I solved the problem eventually and Windows managed to install its stupid update, and everything worked great, at least until today at midday, when I turned on my laptop and I was immediately greeted by Windows, which wasn't good since my main OS to boot is Linux.

After a bit of research and trial and error I discovered that, for some reason, the stupid update from Windows made it so that I cannot boot into Linux any more. Linux doesn't even appear in the booting option in the damn Bios.

So now I am stuck with Windows, because of a stupid update, unable to access my articles that I have on Linux or the rest of my files that I have on that OS. All of it because of a stupid update.

What will result off of this?

Once I get home, I will remove everything from this PC, and install only Linux as my main OS. I'll install Windows as a virtual machine, just in case I really need a piece of software that I cannot find on Pop!_OS, or at least an alternative, and I'll run games normally, with Steam, since now you can actually do that.

So, instead of being able to post my normal content, I am stuck with using an OS that I don't want to use because Windows decided to completely hide my other OS with a stupid update.

I'll have to apologize, in advance, for any grammatical mistakes I made. I am tired after a very difficult day, in no mood to spend 20 minutes editing an article that I don't want to post because of a problem that I cannot control. I'm sorry.

Fuck you, Windows, and fuck you, Microsoft.
