Hello everyone!
I hope you are all doing well. Today I want to share some beautiful memories from a family picnic that we had at Hanna Lake.
Saturday and Sunday are always special for the children because they keep waiting for the weekend. We usually try to make some plan for going out, visiting a nice place, or spending some quality time together as a family. This Saturday, we decided to take the children to Hanna Lake for a picnic.
We woke up early in the morning and got ready quickly. We had our breakfast at home, and around 9 o鈥檆lock in the morning, we left for Hanna Lake. We had already planned everything, so we also prepared our lunch and some snacks at home before leaving.
It was not only our family going there. We had planned a potluck picnic, where every family brought one or two dishes. We had many different foods with us, including koftas, dum kebab, beef karahi, rice, biryani, spaghetti, and fries for the children. For the evening tea, we also brought some homemade cake and keema paratha. We even took all the things we needed to make tea there, so we could enjoy fresh tea together.
We had rented two cars for the trip, and we all went together. The journey took around one hour. The road passed through the mountains, and the views along the way were beautiful. I always enjoy travelling through the mountains because there is something very peaceful about the scenery. The fresh air, mountains, trees, and open sky made the journey feel even more enjoyable.
When we finally reached our picnic spot, the first thing we did was make and drink green tea. After the long drive, that first cup of tea tasted so good. We sat together, talked, and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings while the children were excited to explore the place.
Soon, the children went towards the swings and started playing. Watching them enjoy themselves reminded me of our own childhood. We also started remembering the games we used to play when we were children. We talked about games like Kings, Kaat Kaat, and Tip-Top, and suddenly we felt like children again.
It was really funny because even though we are grown-ups now, we started playing and enjoying those old games again. Sometimes we become so busy with our daily lives that we forget how simple happiness used to be when we were children. That day, we got a chance to bring back some of those childhood memories.
Even though the lake was not as full as we expected, the overall beauty of the place was still wonderful. There was greenery all around us, beautiful mountains, fresh air, and plenty of open space for the children to play.
One thing I really liked about this place was the picnic area. There were good open spaces where families could sit together and enjoy their food. While sitting there, I thought that next time we make a plan to visit this place, I would really like to arrange a barbecue. I think it would be perfect for a family barbecue, especially when everyone brings something and we can cook and eat together.
After spending a lovely day there, we had our tea, enjoyed our food, talked a lot, and made many happy memories. The children had a great time, and honestly, we adults enjoyed it just as much as they did.
For me, family outings are not always about visiting a famous or expensive place. Sometimes a simple picnic, homemade food, a cup of tea, beautiful views, and the company of people you love can make a day very special.
By the evening, we were all tired but very happy. It was one of those days that we will remember for a long time.
I hope you enjoyed seeing these pictures from our little family picnic at Hanna Lake. Do you also like going on family picnics and spending time outdoors? And if you were at this place, what food would you bring for a picnic?
