Greetings, Hiveans! Another week of my favourite contest — Alphabet Hunt — is back to life in Bangladesh community. This week we reached the letter 'G'. My random picks were: Gravure / Guinness / Gilded / Grin / Growing-up / Gone-with-the-wind. Six words and no leftovers! 😜
Blogs for previous letters: B / C / D / E / F / G . In case you are curious to see my other trofeis for this letter, check this post from 2020. Happy hunting!

Gravure.

In the pic above you see a girl, cats, rabbits, drawings... right? No, thats not a drawing - to be precise, this piece of art utilizes a different technology called 'gravure' (or 'engraving'). There exist different types of engravings out there: woodcut, etching, mezzotint, linocut (it is the latter that you see in this photo, I think.)

Growin-up.

"I have no idea what it is, but if grown-ups like it so much - I definitely should try it myself too!" Our growing 2-year-old babygirl climbed onto a chair and reached the computer to test out the keyboard.(I recommend you to accompany this pic with a song 'I dont Want to Grow Up' by Tom Waits. The pleasure is guaranteed!)

Gone with the wind.

The wind nearly tore the map we were looking to plot our route, out of our hands - that was nearly 'gone-with-the-wind' case!)

Guinness.

I’m not a big beer drinker, but if I do buy beer, I prefer dark sorts, like this Guinness stout.

Grin.

When looking into a camera, people tend to smile—but not always, especially if we talk of candid photography. An unexpected moment of eye contact with the photographer can capture a wide range of facial expressions—a blend of surprise and displeasure—sometimes the resulting grimace turn out priceless.

Gilded.

Look who I ran into on the street... a golden man? If you take a closer look, it becomes clear: no, he’s made of meat, he is only gilded! That was my final G-word. See you next week! ps. I really wanted to add more shiny vocabulary, like grave, or gasmask, or gloomy, but one cant fit the unfittable, as simple as that. See you next time, my friends.

Смотрите кого я встретил на улице... Золотой человек? если приглядеться, то нет: он сделан из мяса, просто позолоченный! И это было моё последнее слово на букву G. До встречи в следующей серии!
