These are the kinds of shots that have me interested in what the show could mean for the sequel trilogy and TROS:
I want to see how the Empire fell apart, what happened to the Rebellion, and just how we got from ROTJ to TFA. The stories in the Aftermath books, the Battlefront 2 campaign and the Shattered Empire comics didn’t quite do it for me, and I’m not necessarily expecting that The Mandalorian will finish the job either but I’m hoping for the little bread crumbs that add up over time. The Galaxy of the ST feels dark, much more so than the PT and even the OT, because there is a sparseness to it, like a lot of people died during the Galactic Civil War and the post-war rebuilding didn’t happen, or is just beginning.
