No voy buscando respuestas…
necesito volver.

Why do I hike?
I still can't find a clear answer.
I can't quite explain it... but I want more and more of it.
It's not just walking in the mountains.
It's the silence that brings order to the chaos of the city.
It's the tiredness that doesn't weigh me down, because it cleanses me.
It's the slow pace that teaches me to breathe again.
I'm not looking for answers...
and yet, something inside me settles with each route.
Fear turns into respect.
Pain turns into strength.
Exhaustion turns into pride.
Each climb confronts me.
Each descent reminds me that there is also rest.
And when I reach the top, I understand that it wasn't the place... it was the process.
Maybe I hike because there I don't have to prove anything.
Because the mountain doesn't judge, it just receives.
Because there I am small... and that makes me feel free.
I don't know why I started.
I don't know why I continue.
I only know that every time I return,
I need to go back.
