HELLO HIVE
I posted about the journey to the commencement of this new project I am about to talk on in Wednesday walk community, here is the link.

My intention was to finish the entire project before talking about it, but advised me not to wait till then before carrying people along on the project. Therefore, I will love to update you on the current stage of the project.
Actually, I am a Telecommunications Design Engineer, like I said in my previous post, my hands are so tied, that is why there is always a long interval between my posts. The reason is that, I am managing two different projects which I am hiding the two from the clients. The first client is my employer who must not know I am having another project at hand, because he might be feeling that it will hinder his on projects, but I think I am strong enough to keep that. ππ
About the other client, it is my first contract I will ever sign myself, I took the risk not because of the profit, I took it because of the connection that might come up from it if I can deliver it perfectly, because it is a State government Project.
Imo State government is planning to link the entire state with fibre cable. So the contract is to do the survey and come out with Bill Of Quantities and design.
I was given 1000km out the whole project to cover, I had to invite my friends to this project. The project is in two phases, the first is the collection of Physical data and preparation of BOQ which we just concluded today, we are starting on Monday.
CHALLENGES ON THE PROJECT
The first challenge. Like I said earlier I've been hiding the contract from my employer and I am hiding my employment from thr client of my project. Meanwhile, there is a project of around 700km going on in the company I am working for, so I have been spending almost 17 hours daily on the two projects, because I was the only design engineer in the company not until last Tuesday that the company employed two more people to assist me. That is why I have not been chanced to focus on my lovely hive platform.
The second challenge is the insecurity risk on the location of the project, due to the fact that, there is high rate of kidnapping in the region we worked, so we had to work with security personnels. The government provides 3 men squad of Anti-kidnap squad for each engineer. So, that factor lower the work rate, because we had to resume back to the hotel very early to avoid unwanted circumstances.
The last challenge was that, I was using my annual leave for the contract, but during the survey, my leave was cut short due to an urgency that came up on the project I was handling before I went for the leaveπππ. So I had to resume back to the office and employed more hands into the project.
To cut the story short, we are done with physical collection of data and preparation of the BOQ.
I will keep you guys updated as the project is going on.
