This is the first time I make a collage for this community, so this would be my introductory post.
I had seen spectacular posts before but I didn't dare to participate, thinking I wouldn't be up to the task. But today I said to myself: Why don't you give it a try? And here I am, trying to make a positive impression.
I must also confess that this is my first collage in life. I had never done one before and although I was a bit lost at first, I really enjoyed the process.
The first thing that came to my mind was to do it in Canva, since it is a tool that I love and I find it super easy to use.
I opened Canva and I chose "create my own design" 👇🏻, respecting the original measures of the photograph 768 x 576. The original image is:
Now the first thing I had to do was to fit the image into the white box 👇🏻.
Then I started thinking of many alternatives to add and just as I added them, I discarded them because they looked horrible in the original photograph. I thought of a turbulent sea and a very gray sky, but I didn't like the result. Then I thought about placing a rock at the end with a castle at the top but it looked too weird.
Ok, let's place the rock first to see how it looks and depending on that, I would see what to add.
The rock needed a little life, so I decided to hang some seaweed on it:

The rock didn't look bad, so I thought of a lighthouse and chose this one:
Then I came up with a sunset in orange tones and chose this one:
So far so good, but I was not convinced. Blurring the sky so that a good fusion could be achieved, was difficult and it was not what I wanted.
Then I decided to place a vintage type balcony, in png format and I decided for this one:
But it looked so simple...! Of course, I didn't want to overload the image too much, remembering the motto that always accompanies me: "less is more". So I decided to hang a couple of ivy on each side of the wall:
That's how I was staying... No. I didn't like it because the headlight in the background was hardly noticeable.
I'd better remove that sky and leave the one in the original photo. Yes, much better:
What else, what else...? Humm... In order to imagine the scenario correctly, it is necessary to travel there. So my mind went to that paradisiacal place.
It's morning, the day is clear with a blue sky shining in all its splendor and I feel like a steaming cup of coffee. It's what's needed:
But I am not alone. So for my companion I also made a delicious cup of coffee:
And since I always have the need to clean, to keep things in order, I thought of placing a nice vintage broom on one side of the wall:
That was the final result. I liked it a lot. I loved this beach sunrise:
I really enjoyed making my first collage, which I hope will be the first of many. And I hope you liked it too.
Thank you for allowing me to participate.
