So, we had finished cleaning up the house*( i mean some super cleaning...scrubbing , mopping and all that) Tired and exhausted .
I and Emmanuel were chilling at the balcony and drinking our chilled water and jisting about Ghana, Nigeria and the great things going on in our countries( that's another post for later) then BOOM!!! Scurring through the barbed wire fence comes this baby sized (Okete') bush-rat. Frooooosh!!! Emmanuel leaps towards the fence with a stick in his hands chasing the okete and there i sat amazed at the speed with which this 63 year old man chased and knocked down this fast animal. _
Gently and gasping, he smiled andwas certain this weekend was gonna be a great one for all we needed next was 2 bottles of Hieneken and as the ol Yoruba proverb goes "Oro ti Bu Se" meaning matters have been concluded.
Then to the backyard we smiles as we set up the fire and had an awesome weekend. The meat was so delicious and all we did was add only onions to it while it was boiling. Now i know why people travel to other states just to go buy this meat as it is rather scarce and expensive in Lagos.
