My kitchen project 🧵 (Eng-Esp)
English 🔹
Hello, hello my dear friends creators of wonderful things 🤗 A pleasure to always share with you.
I wanted to join the initiative proposed by the community and make a love to my kitchen. I love the details in the kitchen, from pot holders, colorful cloths and containers, to little cowries to stick on the fridge and placemats.
I had always thought of making a cover for my blender to protect it, since both the base and the lid are white. She has been with me as long as I have been married. An aunt gave it to us as a wedding present, it is a treasure for me!
I must tell you that one of my dreams, when I can have my own little house, is a kitchen with tasteful details.
While that moment arrives 😉 I want to show you how I made, for the first time and with recycled material, a blender liner.

I was afraid to do it. I had no idea how. My mother-in-law helped me to see how I could make it by looking at one she has had for years. I got the idea from that one.
Despite this, it took me several days to finish it. Sometimes the days and the ideas get more complicated than they should, but the most important thing is that in the end I realized that it was not as difficult as I thought.
A while back I sewed a sheet set for our bed and had a piece of fabric left over. This particular one I loved when I saw it because it has several contrasting and matching colors and patterns. The mustard colored fabric is gabardine. I also reused it from another project, as well as the lace on the hem.
Here you have the step by step and the measurements 😉
I attached the skirt to the lining dress by making a few small tucks or pleats to give it a nice design. I did it first with pins to make sure it was as even as possible.
I made the hem of the skirt by folding it twice 1/2 cm. I pinned the lace and sewed a little hem on the sides as well.
In the same way, sew the four sides of the cover (cut 6 squares, but you can fill with wadding). Now attach it to the dress as shown in the pictures.
I cut a 58 cm strip to make the belt and a bow for decoration.
I am sure that my colleagues in this beautiful community would have done a much better job than mine; however I can say that I liked it, I was thrilled and I feel quite satisfied with what I did and achieved 💜
