The Corona pendemic is on it's peak and will keep on increasing until the development of the desired vaccine. Already about 7 million people have got infected by the virus worldwide. Here in India the active cases have crossed 150k mark. Whole India was under lockdown for 2 months and many peoples suffered from this lockdown apart from the virus problem. The fourth phase of lockdown was finished two days back. Now from 1 June onwords the first phase of unlock began(some of the most contaminated areas are still under lockdown). In this first unlock phase we can see some relaxation as well as some restrictions.
## WHAT IS THE SITUATION IN ASSAM?
If I talk about the increase in Corona cases, Assam was quite normal as there were not much cases reported. But during this past 10 days the cases are increasing tremendously. About 900 of 1100 cases are found in this 10 days time. But the govt is doing it's best to maintain the spread to minimum.
Yesterday I went to my nearest town which is about 7 km away from my village. I saw most of the shops were open and the daily life of people is getting better (with taking some precautions though).
Highways are empty because of several travel restrictions. Those who wants to travel from one place to another have to apply for a permission in nearest police station. But we are allowed to travel in our locality.
I saw about 90% of shops were open during the day. But Curfew is applied during night so that people are not allowed to go out of their home. Most of the people are following social distance rules but some idiots were not taking it seriously even now.
And I feel those shops who have shuttered down might be in fear of the virus.
I wanted to have a haircut. During this 2 month time my hair have grown too much and it started to look like mess. But the barbershop was closed, I don't know the reason. According to the rules the barbershops can be left opened from 1th June. Looks like my hair will get much messier.
Grocery shops ,wine shops, cloth markets were open. I heard some news that parks and restaurants will be opening from 4th of June and peoples can visit temple and told to have some responsibility for maintaining social distancing.
School, colleges, universities are still closed and will remain closed until further order.
It's good to see people following rules to get rid of this pendemic. It's not enough though. We have to be more precautive toword it.
