This is my entry for the #monomad challenge
I return once again to walk the streets of my city with the intention of documenting the lives of its people. Currently my country is undoubtedly living a turning point, defining what will be its future for the coming years, in its two possible scenarios, the country is at a critical point where either the government changes or will prevail at a high cost to its citizens, it is reaching a point in Cuba, which is no longer poverty is misery.
Meanwhile I go out with my camera and document the stories that I find on my way, they say that history is told by the winners, but the testimonial evidence is super important for that history to maintain its links to reality and it is impossible its total manipulation, the images speak louder than any speech or political agenda.
Hopefully this work will one day serve to explain or understand a little bit how we live in this time on this island, but beyond that I also intend in my images, to balance that reality with beauty in what can be an interesting composition, or a light that achieves the impact of the viewer.

Vuelvo una vez m谩s a caminar las calles de mi ciudad con la intenci贸n de documentar la vida de sus personas. Actualmente mi pa铆s vive sin duda un momento de inflexi贸n, definitorio de lo que ser谩 su futuro para los pr贸ximos a帽os, en sus dos escenarios posibles, el pa铆s est谩 en un punto cr铆tico donde o cambia el gobierno o prevalecer谩n a un alto costo para su ciudadanos , se est谩 alcanzando un punto en Cuba, que ya no es pobreza es miseria.
Mientras tanto yo salgo con mi c谩mara y documento las historias que voy encontrando a mi paso, dicen que la historia la cuentan los ganadores, pero la evidencia testimonial es s煤per importante para que esa historia mantenga sus nexos pegados a la realidad y sea imposible su total manipulaci贸n, las im谩genes hablan m谩s alto que cualquier discurso o agenda pol铆tica.
Ojal谩 y ese trabajo sirva alg煤n d铆a para explicar o entender un poquito como es que vivimos en este tiempo en est谩 isla, pero bueno m谩s all谩 de eso tambi茅n pretendo en mis im谩genes, equilibrar esa realidad con la belleza en lo que puede ser una composici贸n interesante, o una luz que logr茅 el impacto del espectador.
