Greetings to all Hive users and SWC athletes! I hope you are doing very well and continue with the necessary discipline to train in any circumstance. On this occasion, I want to share a very different experience, where curiosity and passion for the bars led us to an unexpected setting.
Dear readers, the motivation of a calisthenics athlete does not depend on a commercial gym, but on the desire to improve. Today was most peculiar and unusual; I decided to accompany my friend @nado-sw to his university. I was talking and sharing with other students among jokes and laughter, enjoying the academic atmosphere.
@nado-sw offered to give me a tour of the entire university complex, and since it is a multi-story building, we went exploring the facilities.
Our curiosity took us to the top floor, where the sports facilities are located. There we came across a court and a gym with plenty of machines and equipment, although unfortunately it is in a state of semi-abandonment. Seeing the rust and dust on the old equipment created a nostalgic atmosphere, although that didn't stop us. The essence of our sport is adapting to the environment, and as soon as we saw a pull-up station we started doing several sets and taking photos.
The structure was solid despite the time, allowing me a firm grip to execute each repetition. Throughout the session, I was focused on performing the best possible technique in each exercise, making sure the movement was fluid and controlled. To complete the routine, I performed a couple of human flag holds on a staircase adjacent to the gym. Feeling the tension in the obliques and the pressure in the arms while the rest of the university continued in their classes was a unique sensation. I leave satisfied for having turned a forgotten place into a productive training space.
Without anything more to add, I bid farewell. Stay tuned for future posts! Until next time!
