Improving Pull Technique and Posture

English
Espa帽ol

On this occasion, I returned to the bar park to guide my students through their pulling routines.

After a long walk, I arrived at the bar park, met up with my students, and without wasting any more time, we proceeded to warm up and kick off the routine. For one of my younger students, I assigned a pull-up routine. Although he doesn't have much pulling strength yet, he is capable of performing around 4 pronated pull-ups with acceptable technique. However, today he started doing pull-ups with scapular protraction, which is inappropriate. I corrected him and instructed him to do his best to bring his chest to the bar by performing a scapular retraction, bringing his shoulder blades together. In subsequent sets, he followed my advice, and his efficiency improved markedly鈥攖he result can be seen in the photos I took. For my other student, I assigned simpler exercises with a resistance band, featuring a Victorian-style pull that is very useful for strengthening the rear deltoids and traps.

Likewise, I helped guide a friend of mine who usually comes to the park to train, helping him improve his technique for bicep curls on a low bar鈥攁 lesser-known yet very useful exercise for working the biceps.

Coaching proper mechanics during high-intensity pulling sessions helps prevent bad habits before they become ingrained. Correcting scapular positioning makes an immediate difference in strength transfer and execution quality.

Working with students across different experience levels keeps the training environment dynamic and focused. I hope these photographs capture the constant progress and dedication of our park community.

I hope you enjoyed these photographs. Without anything more to add, I bid farewell. Stay tuned for future posts! Until next time!

隆Hasta la pr贸xima!
