Hardcore Townsmen! #6 Ingots & Mining
Hello Hive Gamers! Today I bring you the 6th part of my hardcore adventure in Townsmen. Finally, after so much effort and resource management, I have some great news to share: the smelting plant is fully built and working at full capacity. This building is now the heart of my economy, responsible for producing gold and iron ingots depending on the available resources and the specific orders I give to the workers. Interestingly enough, the bandits haven't deigned to attack again lately... honestly, I鈥檓 not complaining. Better for me and my townnies!
As I mentioned in previous posts, I had run out of iron ore in my main mine, which threatened to halt my industrial dream before it even truly began. I didn't waste any time and ordered the construction of a new iron mine. It鈥檚 located quite far from the village center, but it was the only remaining deposit on the map. It was a risky move due to the distance, but a necessary one to keep the smelter's furnaces burning.
When I sold the first batch of ingots to the merchant, I realized that the effort was worth it: I鈥檓 making 10 Thalers for every single ingot! That is a fantastic profit margin compared to raw materials. This new income is finally allowing me to finance other projects and constructions that seemed impossible just a few turns ago. I even took the luxury of building a road leading all the way to the distant iron mine. This will allow the miner to travel faster and move resources with much more ease, reducing downtime.
Slowly but surely, I am pulling this village forward. The "Frozen Front" is no longer just a place of survival; it鈥檚 starting to look like a real industrial settlement. However, I know I can't get overconfident. I still need to fully develop the economy to ensure long-term stability. For now, I鈥檒l enjoy this golden era of smelting while it lasts and prepare for whatever the winter (or the bandits) throws at me next. See you in a future post!
