First of all, I started by repairing a couple of battered buildings, including a vital woodcutter's hut. Regular maintenance like this is absolutely crucial to prevent structures from spontaneously catching fire or completely collapsing under the harsh environmental effects of our freezing map. Next, I took the time to collect a massive pile of accumulated taxes from the residential houses. Even though I have tax collectors hard at work, they can be a bit slow, so doing a manual sweep is always much faster and ensures a quick injection of cash into the treasury.

Furthermore, to fuel my ongoing construction projects in the new southern sector, I constructed a couple of brand-new stone mines to ramp up our domestic production. I have been needing an enormous amount of stone lately, so securing a steady local supply was a top priority. Additionally, I built a brand-new storage warehouse strategically placed to hold building materials for future projects, which also serves as a convenient depot for other essential goods that the townnies can access easily.

Consequently, this turned out to be an exceptionally productive and surprisingly peaceful session. There were no bandit raids, no sudden viral outbreaks, and no devastating fires to put out—just pure, satisfying city management and forward planning.

Nevertheless, I know that peace never lasts long in hardcore mode. I am making the most of this calm period to get all our logistics locked down. With the new mines running, the warehouse stocked, and the repairs finished, we are in a fantastic position for whatever challenges come next. See you in the next chapter!

Para empezar, reparé un par de edificios que estaban bastante maltratados, incluyendo una cabaña de leñador. Esta tarea de mantenimiento es vital para impedir que las estructuras se incendien por accidente o se derrumben debido al desgaste pasivo del clima helado. En segundo lugar, recaudé un montón de impuestos acumulados en las casas. Aunque tengo recaudadores trabajando, suelen ser algo lentos, por lo que cobrar todo manualmente resulta mucho más eficiente para tener liquidez inmediata.

Además, aproveché para construir un par de minas de piedra nuevas. Estoy necesitando muchísimo ese material para mantener el ritmo de construcción en el nuevo sector sur, así que asegurar una extracción local constante era una prioridad absoluta. Igualmente, levanté un nuevo almacén para guardar todos los materiales de construcción de futuros proyectos; un espacio donde también se pueden almacenar otros bienes que los townnies necesitan en su día a día.

Consecuentemente, esta fue una partida muy productiva y pacífica. Sin ataques de bandidos, sin epidemias y sin incendios que apagar, pude dedicarme por completo a optimizar la microgestión del asentamiento.
