Hello Hive Gamers! Today I bring you the twenty-fifth chapter of my campaign in Great Conqueror 2: Shogun. In this session, I took a step back to conduct a brief strategic review and analysis of the current state of my sandbox conquest run.

First off, the newly conquered Lida castle in South Shinano is exceptionally well-secured. All hostiles from the Nagao clan in the immediate area have been utterly annihilated, leaving behind only that stubborn heavy Takeda cavalry unit. I currently have it completely surrounded by multiple units and plan to whittle it down over the next few turns. This task is made much easier thanks to my katana samurai units, which possess a fantastic passive formation skill granting a 10% reduction in damage received from enemy cavalry attacks, alongside my main cavalry force commanded personally by my clan general, Saito Yoshitatsu.

Upon carefully reviewing the global map and checking the current status of my Nagao rivals, I noticed they managed to conquer a decent chunk of territory; however, they have deeply bled themselves dry fighting a brutal war against the Anegakoji clan. In another sector of South Shinano, the remaining Nagao troops are severely scattered and wounded compared to several healthy Anegakoji units guarding a crucial castle under the command of a competent enough general to hold the line. The situation across other nearby regions looks quite similar. While there are still various Nagao detachments roaming the map, I honestly don't see a bright long-term future for them unless they manage to pull massive piles of gold and resources from their conquered provinces to rebuild their shattered armies. This plays right into my hands: I can comfortably focus on dismantling the Takeda and Asai clans separately while the Nagao lick their deep wounds and stay heavily distracted by the Anegakoji. Only time will tell how this grand strategy truly pans out!

¡Hola Gamers de Hive! Hoy les traigo el vigésimo quinto capítulo de mi campaña en Great Conqueror 2: Shogun. En esta oportunidad me dediqué a hacer un breve repaso y análisis de la situación actual en este modo conquista.

Para empezar, el recién conquistado castillo de Lida en Shinano del Sur está sumamente bien asegurado. Todas las unidades enemigas del clan Nagao en las inmediaciones fueron aniquiladas, y de los Takeda solo queda aquella caballería pesada que ahora mismo tengo completamente cercada con varias unidades para ir eliminándola poco a poco en los próximos turnos. Esto se me facilita enormemente gracias a mis samuráis con katana, cuya habilidad pasiva de formación les otorga un 10% de reducción de daño frente a los ataques de caballería enemiga, sumado por supuesto a la caballería dirigida por el general de mi clan, Saitō Yoshitatsu.

Al revisar a fondo el mapa y evaluar el estado actual de mis rivales del clan Nagao, me percaté de que, aunque conquistaron una porción decente de territorio, se han desgastado muchísimo librando una guerra agotadora contra el clan Anegakoji. En otra zona de Shinano del Sur, las tropas Nagao están dispersas y maltrechas en comparación con varias unidades Anegakoji que defienden un castillo clave bajo el mando de un general con la habilidad suficiente para frenarlas. La situación en otras regiones aledañas es bastante similar. Aunque todavía pululan varias unidades Nagao por el mapa, la verdad es que no les veo un buen futuro a largo plazo a menos que reúnan enormes cantidades de oro y recursos para levantar ejércitos desde cero. Esto representa una excelente noticia para mí: puedo concentrarme en neutralizar por separado a los clanes Takeda y Asai mientras el clan Nagao yace malherido y ocupado con los Anegakoji. ¡Solo el tiempo dirá cómo se desarrolla este complejo panorama!
