Good afternoon to my dear readers in this community. I am delighted to join in giving my own ideas to this question thrown at us by QOTW this week and here is the question;
"If you could ask God ONE question and God would give you an immediate answer, what would the question be and what answer would you want to hear?"
Two days ago, my sister posted on her status about a beautiful young lady from the University of Benin and also a 600 level student in the Pharmacy department, who was shot and was on live support at the hospital. I don't know the lady and what I felt that day has never happened. I was moved to pray for her and I stood up, talking to God and begging on her behalf for her life to be spared.
When I saw the lady, I was moved by her situation and I know many people who loved her including her family would also have prayed and interceded for her, but unfortunately, she died. She couldn't make it.
My eyes were red when I saw the update that she eventually gave up the ghost.
So many of this, I have heard and seen where people die suddenly, leaving behind their loved ones and families. When you now listen to their testimonies and how good and caring they were while on earth, it brings a question to you and waiting anxiously for an answer but it's a pity, we can never find answers to these troubling questions but things like this would surely happen.
One of the questions "But we prayed?" will be in your mind.
Then, I was given the opportunity to ask God who is standing in front of me and ready to give me an answer. This would surely be the best moment for me not to misuse it but ask the right question I had wanted an answer to.
Me: God, why are the innocents, righteous, good in heart, caring, philanthropists dying at a young age and quickly, leaving behind the wicked ones? Shouldn't it be that the wicked should go before the good ones? Why do we pray for those we love and at the end, it seems we aren't prayerful? Why God?
The answer I supposed will be;
God: In Isaiah 57 vs 1, I made you to know that the righteous are taken away before the day of calamity/ evil to come. Isn't it my Child?
Me: Yes God!
God: I know it's always hard to lose someone you loved and you pray so fervently for their souls to return back to life, but I, the most high God knows the end from the beginning, and the beginning from the end. I know what will happen which I have not given you the power to know. I am the all-knowing God.
I am always happy with my children who are doing the good works, and always making sure others are happy. I am aware of their good deeds in life, and I also know their enemies who are planning different ways to make them suffer. This is why I take them away quickly so that they won't have to witness such evil days and blame me to the extent of renouncing their faith in me.
It's not that your prayers aren't answered, but I want to make sure they do not go through hell while on earth but to quickly take them away to enjoy eternity rather than suffering more on earth.
Also, I allow it to avoid spending too much on them. You can always take care of yourself with the money, instead of wasting it on hospital bills.
I don't want them to deviate from the works they have always been doing. This is why I prepare a beautiful place for them to come over than being on earth where it would be much painful to them.
