Do you know how excited it is for me to talk about how I got my nickname? I think @Galenkp read my mind to bring such a challenge this week because when I saw the options, I was very happy because I would finally be taking you through how I got my beautiful nickname and how it went viral.

Many of my online friends know me as “Princessbusayo” but all of my offline friends and neighbours call me Buzhay.
I still don't know how she came up with such a nickname but I gave it a meaning on my own and it means
A BEAUTIFUL SOUL, SO CHARMING AND FULL OF SMILES.
Do you like the meaning? 😋😋
Why did I give it that meaning? This is because those qualities speak about me and that is my lifestyle.
Here is how the name came about...
I got this nickname in December 2012 from my Cousin.
She came around to visit my Aunt and I was around too, and we started gisting about some memories. We got to the point of mimicking my little sister. Then, my sister was still a little girl and was nine (9) years old. There was a way she calls my name by adding “Aunty” before my name as it is a sign of respecting someone older than you.
Then, she would pronounce “Aunty Busayo” together in a different way as if something was chasing her or rushing a hot yam in her mouth and this pronunciation was so funny and would make others laugh including me.
On this day, my cousin remembered the name and everyone present laughed it out. Then, she coined the name “Buzhay” from it.
Ever since that day, she started calling me that name and everyone knew about it and it became trending anywhere I go.
When I went to school. The name was famous and I never forgot who gave me the name because I got to have many friends through it.
My nickname became a description of me. Whenever someone asks of me and the nickname is mentioned, even those I do not know will know me.
Many times when I am passing through a street, I will hear the nickname being called and once I stop to see who called me, I won't even know such a person but in my tribe, they use to say “Many people know the masquerade but not everyone does the masquerade knows”.
I became a celebrity with that nickname and I felt special when people hail me with the name.
The only person that doesn't know me by my nickname is my Grandma. Every other family members recognize and call me “Buzhay”.
There's a way my Aunts and Big sis call my nickname and I would feel so great and special. That name made me famous and I am always proud to be called Buzhay.
I can never change that name because it's like a signature and I would prefer people calls me that.
Though I love Princessbusayo as I want it to be saved online but offline, just call me Buzhay and you'd see that good side of me 😁😁
