One of the two best advice I received from the elders of my family (which speaks french) are:

1) Always install a "Juda"

Always verify if the door as an eye before searching for a new basement, my uncle(s) call those the "jewish eye" because in french the official name of this thing is "Juda".

2) Beware of the short ones, the fat ones, and the ugly ones.

This advice is from my grand-father, he claims that those three kind of people often gets hurt in life so they might be haters then, but unlike normal people, since they got some disadvantages, they require the use of trickery to win a battle.

So if you hurt one of their kind, they will get behind your back. This is why then you should install the jewish eye to spot marauders before they reach you out.

It's all interlinked, it's madness how evolution converge to precious life advice.
