All of a sudden the calls, the messages from him stopped coming. She kept trying to reach out to him because she had come to develop feelings she never knew she had for him. Ella kept thinking what she had done to make him go away just like, he just sent a message to her saying “it’s not you Ella it’s me I think I cannot continue with this” at that moment her world came shattering, her biggest fears where confirmed. She had become fond of him, caring for him in ways she did not even understand, giving him a part of her and he was not aware of it all. He decided to just move on, no explanation other than they fought too frequently.

She begged, sent him messages, called him and tried reaching out to him and he was hell bent on moving on, it all seemed like Joshua was meant to end things with her.

The days that went by was not exactly the best, she got used to him even though he was far away. She could hear his voice in her head, they talked about everything.

She was counting down on the days she would meet him till it all happened, till she received a message from him that early morning when she sat in the dark of her sitting room wondering why he was not returning her calls and messages saying that he could not continue with her.

Before it all happened she imagined making love to him, she imagined him treating her like a queen giving her a different satisfaction from what she was accustomed to, she had crowned him “Eros, Greek god of love “their fusion was supposed to be magical connecting them more in the mind and soul than in the body, She imagined him kissing her and stroking her hair and cuddling with him, tracing her spine with soft tiny kisses. He was supposed to be her lover and friend. Joshua was her excitement.

Sadly, before fate permitted their meeting, Cupid took back the arrow he shot at Joshua and left the arrow still in her heart. Broken she became, sad and unable to clearly explain the emptiness she felt. Joshua had broken her the same way the others did, taking her for granted after he promised her happiness.

Sleepless nights came in, days she had to hide in her car to cry at work so no one would not what she was dealing with crawled slowly. Someone even told her she did not need to feel bad, but yet she did.

No day goes by she doesn’t wonder what went wrong, what he was doing or how his day went.

Joshua had become a part of her, she carried him around in her heart and mind.

As I watch my friend Ella sleep, I could tell she was broken and I hope time would heal her, just before she lay her head to sleep she told me she was hopeful he would come around.

I just told her to be hopeful, while expecting the worst. Even though I knew it seemed like it was the end.IMG_20180213_150941.jpg
