For a while now, I’ve been thinking about what way I can help donate things to people. The thoughts just keeps coming and coming every now and then.

I have this friend on WhatsApp who will occasionally post on his status “Don’t forget to donate to charity today” and sometimes he would write “Make someone smile today”. Each time I see those write up, it feels to me like some sort of reminder to do the right thing.

I know you guys will say that why don’t I just go ahead with it, there are lots of charity organizations in the state where I’m at and I can just pick one but the thing is, I don’t want to go to a charity organization. For some reason I feel like those guys already got people donating to them from time to time because they’re an organization that everyone knows needs such support. But what about the people we see every day, our next door neighbors, stranger walking by, those kind of people, even our friends.

I’ve seen videos where people perform random act of kindness to strangers in the mall and other places and those stranger break down crying and thanking them, telling them how shitty of a day they were having and how what he or she just did for them was going to make the rest of their day better.

Those are the kind of people I wish to help. The everyday people who pretend like it’s okay when deep down all they want is someone to look deep down into their eyes and see their pains.

I remember one time I helped a stranger with some money for transport. How happy she was and how much she had thanked me because she hadn’t expected it. I had given her the money when I overheard the conversation she was having with the bikeman who had refused to carry her because her money wasn’t enough.

Such acts is what I plan to do, if possible for the rest of my life and hopefully, they two (the people I do the kindness to) would do the same for someone else and random acts of kindness will just keep growing like that.

Hopefully.
