The other day I saw a video where a lady basically was complaining because a guy had called her multiple times on the phone, and every time he called, he would always ask her if she had had something to eat. Apparently, she was in the middle of a situation, and he was calling to check up on her, and every time he asked her that question, she would tell him no, that she had had nothing to eat, due to how time-consuming the issue she was handling was.
She had gone further to say that at a point, she got pissed off by the question because apparently, according to this lady, the next thing men are expected to do, after having asked someone that question multiple times and getting the same answer, is to offer to send her money for food.
The words that left my mouth immediately after I heard her say that were “The Audacity,” because what is she even talking about?
You see, people tend to get used to things quickly, and that's when the entitlement sneaks in. So let's say you have been dropping your neighbor off at work for about a month now because both of your jobs happen to be on the same route, and then one morning you had to rush to work a lot earlier than usual, therefore leaving your neighbor back at home to take the bus; there's a huge possibility that that neighbor might end up resenting you for that.
It's the same thing when most men out there simp around, sending money to women just because she said she's sad or something just to get her attention. Because yes, I blame us men for this. A woman wouldn't have the boldness to come online to make such a ridiculous statement if she hadn't had men in her life or seen men do the same thing for another lady.
Because how does one asking you about your well-being suddenly become a bad thing? Mind you, she didn't ask him for money for food, and yet she's angry because he didn't offer her any. The entitlement.
It's things like this that get me really pissed off, especially when I see guys in the comment sections agreeing with everything she said.
