I honestly feel that becoming an adult has a lot to do with just age, and today I will be talking about the communication part.
A couple of years ago, I used to date this lady who was slightly older than I was but would always frustrate me with how poorly her communication skill was. I probably didn't know I disliked people who couldn't hold proper conversations to tell you about how they feel about a certain situation until I met this lady.
It's one thing to tell someone how you feel; it's another thing for them to confidently talk about it to you and not shy away from these conversations simply because it makes them slightly uncomfortable.
We actually ended up breaking up after I noticed and repeatedly complained about her poor communication skills. She would rather keep things to herself than talk to you about it until it gets to the point where she no longer can hold it in, and then rather than have a proper conversation with you about whatever that thing is, it automatically becomes an argument because she didn't talk about it earlier, and now that she's fed up about the whole thing, she's angry.
I swear to God, it's almost like these women expect us men to be mind readers in order to know what's wrong. And that's not even the worst part, because after I notice that there's a problem and I try bringing it up so we can both talk about it, she either does not give me a response or postpones the conversation to another day, simply because she's too much of a baby to have that conversation that very minute.
I'm sure you guys can already feel my frustration through these texts, and that was truly how frustrating everything was. It got to a point when I realized that I probably couldn't fix the issue with her, and we both had to call it quits.
It was sad because that was the only issue at the time, and I genuinely had thought we could fix it. But as it turns out, communicating is a huge part of a relationship, and when it's not there, the whole thing falls apart.
