Imagine this. You started a job four weeks ago at your local Crapmart. You were supposed to receive your first paycheck last Friday, and crickets. When you complained last Monday, they gave you a website to go to. At first, you couldn’t get the website to let you in. Finally, after hours of trying repeatedly, you finally got in. You only kept trying because the numbers on the website couldn’t take messages, the voicemail was full.
You’re finally in and file your claim for your money. Days turned into another week, and still no money. Your friend tells you their dad is an attorney, and they are in violation of both state and federal laws, and to file a complaint. That the government will smack your employer down. Because the government will not tolerate money owed being paid late to the recipient. Good old government, always looking out for their citizens. Right?
WRONG
Its now been several weeks since the stimulus passed, sending large blocks of money to the states to distribute to their citizens. Yet for most of us, not one penny of that money has been disbursed. The excuse most touted that the computer systems running these programs are outdated by decades. Could any of you imagine the government accepting that excuse from any of us if we were to run our own small business?
Many Americans are now past the point of crises financially, as the bills (including the rent for this month that was due for many weeks ago) keep coming in waves. Some states, like Indiana, saying they will begin distributing next week.
Most states not even saying when they will distribute any money. It’s always best to keep those receiving money from you in the dark as to any actual date, right? Creditors always love that maneuver, finding it an honorable approach to those who owe them money to utilize.

I say most, as my other half is getting her unemployment from another state (we live at the border with another state). Last week, she actually got her first unemployment stimulus, although it didn’t come retroactively as we are hearing they will. I filed here in the state we live in, before she did, and still nothing here. If you file any questions at all about their confusing website or process, you can expect to hear back from them about a week later.
My cynical mind has begun wondering if they (the states) will get to keep all of the unemployment stimulus they don’t dole out, say if they lift the mandatory stay at home orders closing most business in a few weeks. If so, do they also get to keep the amounts that should have been payed out but weren’t?
The Banning of Non Essential Good Sales
As we have seen empty shelves of food, we also see the banning of what is deemed non essential goods. Even when those items are actually on the shelves of the big box stores. This hit me hard last week when I saw nurseries with actual seeds/soil to grow food taped off with product we could use to grow our own food denied to us as nonessential.
So in some states, it is deemed non essential for the citizens to plan out feeding themselves. Especially as the reports mount on food supply breakdown coming, and food being destroyed both in markets and production plants.
I could list many more articles, but this is enough to demonstrate the coming problems that will be added to the financial hardships already upon most of us.
When It Comes To Enforcement The Systems All Seem To Be State Of The Art
This crises has revealed much of the disdain that those in power over us hold us in. When it comes to systems that would uplift and save so many, the systems are antiquated and grossly underfunded and staffed. But the systems that would squeeze us to nothing, such as law enforcement, military and tax burdens always seem to have the latest state of the art equipment/technology in use.
This needs to be a wake up call to the public, as many things will forever be altered from this crises. Ideas of self sufficiency, questioning what those who claim to represent as they actually rule over us are doing in our names. They have totally corrupted every aspect of our systems, and its possible even if we all are allowed to go back to normal in the coming weeks, the damage that is coming will be harsher than most can imagine as food becomes scarce. As some industries don’t recover.
It’s clear that this crises has shed light on many systems they have foisted upon us that they pick winners and losers. Clearer by those choices of theirs who is held in disregard. George Carlin talked of there being a club of winners, and most of us aren’t in it. What wasn’t said, is we are indeed corralled into a club by them, one that could see many starve and be homeless if we don’t stop pretending they are making us safe and secure as they clamp down further on what they allow for us.
In some areas, you can’t even collect rainwater. Or sell your things on your driveway. Etc etc. Permission for a fee if it is allowed.
