Hello everyone 😻,
Happy Sunday 😊 and a very warm welcome to my report. It's the day of gratitude and appreciating all of the blessings in our lives 💯. No matter how bad things are there's always that glimmer of hope that the best is yet to come💯.
Anyways I have had a great day and it's now that time of day to breakdown how it went including the stories that caught my eye 👀. Let's get things rolling right away 💨.
So I had a quick walk around the neighbourhood. Then I got on with the usual house chores including cooking and laundry.
It was quite cloudy ☁️ in the morning but the sun 🌞 shone through at around midday.
That's when I set out to visit some family friends on the other side of the city.
We ended up at Hyde park and area near Buckingham Palace, quite a bit of walking😹.
Then I got back home just before sunset 🌄 and followed up on some of the trending stories.
So that was my day and now let's look at what has been happening around the world 🌍.
In Gaza the bloodshed continued Israeli airstrikes targeted residential areas killing 33 across the strip😿. The death toll is now at 40,972😭.
Also trending in the area. A Jordanian gunman killed three Israeli guards at a west bank crossing with Jordan🙀. Shortly after he was shot dead.
Not far off, Pakistan trending as thousands of protesters demanded the release of jailed former PM Imran Khan.
In Africa, Algeria trending as military backed incumbent president won a second term in office. The turn out was 48%🙀 and he won more than 94% of votes😹. It had already been predicted that he would win.
Not far off, Nigeria trending as many deaths were reported following explosion of a petrol tanker😿. I didn't get full details but it sounded horrible. Sincere condolences 💯.
In Europe, Spain trending as Venezuelan opposition leader Edmundo Gonzalez arrived in the country to seek political asylum 🙀. He is the rightful president of Venezuela. Probably one day soon Venezuela will be democratic once more💯.
Finally, the Paris 2024 Paralympics concluded with a sparkling ceremony tonight to round off a fantastic summer of sport in the French capital. Congratulations 🎉 to all participants including winners.
That was a great Olympics tournament, let's now wait for Los Angeles 2028💯
