“Got Grapes?”……………..😇
The rain was Forecast to stop early this morning………….
Silvertop looked out the window, and it looked like someone had a garden “soaker hose” on full blast!
A cold misty rain continued to fall…….all morning!😅
Maybe if the rain stops, Silvertop can find a Sunny spot in the yard and work with my laptop……outside!😉
Sunshine comes hit or miss this time of year, you need to take advantage of it when you can!😎
“Cot, the Sun is out, just look at Moms Grape arbor, it’s getting full Sun! I think that’s the perfect place to set up a lawn chair and fire up my laptop!”😊
Cot tunneled under the blankets on Liz and Silvertop’s bed, and went back to sleep, as if to say …………..
“I really don’t care Dad Lol!”😻
We planted five Grape plants over “Twenty” years ago…………
One plant died, and the remaining Four plants produce beautiful Fall color every year, but not ONE Grape……EVER!🤔
We chalked this up to living deep in the forest, with too many cool Summer nights!🙄
Gardening can be extremely challenging in the forest!😮
Just up our road, Keith and Lynne have a very productive garden. It’s situated in a very Sunny location, and they grow baskets full of Grapes!
“Silvertop, if I had a large greenhouse!”🥰
Yep……. that’s really the answer!😇
I walked up the steep hillside, looking for a place for my lawn chair amidst the scraggly grapevines………
I couldn’t believe my eyes!
Hidden among the leaves and vines, was “One” tiny cluster of Grapes!🤗
I texted Liz a photo…………
“Honey you are not going to believe it………GRAPES!!”🤗
When the Mrs came home, I carefully cut the single Grape cluster off the vine…….
Like a couple sampling a several hundred year old bottle of wine, we each took turns picking and eating one Grape at a time, till our first harvest was consumed!☺️
“Next year Silvertop, we need to pay closer attention, maybe the birds have been enjoying our Grapes!”🥰
“Maybe Liz………..they certainly were delicious!”😊
Till tomorrow Silvertop Mike 😊
