Hello everyone 😻,
Happy Monday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report. It's the very first Monday of June and the stepping continued unabated. I have had just another ordinary day and as the midnight hour beckons am here to summarize it for us and also look at some of the trending stories from around the world.
As always thank you for being here and let's get cracking💨.
So I began the day with some stretching and then stepped out for a quick walk around the neighborhood.
Just like yesterday, the sun 🌞 was out, on and off amidst the cloudy sky. After about 30 minutes I was back indoors taking care of some household chores.
Later in the afternoon, I continued watching some YouTube videos and also followed up on the global news.
As the evening set in, I had my usual slow paced sunset 🌄 walk around the neighborhood.
The sun was still out making for quite a beautiful sunset just after 8pm. I didn't go far just around the neighborhood then park and finished off getting a few groceries.
So that was the stepping now lets look at what trended globally.
Starting off in Gaza, the situation hasn't changed. Netanyahu is on a bid to finish off Hamas🙀.
Meanwhile civilians are suffering the brunt of the airstrikes as aid delivery has been hampered😿.
In Khan Younis, municipal services affected as floods of raw sewage flooded into tents ⛺ of displaced people🙀.
Also trending, Israeli military has established the deaths of four more hostages that were abducted by Hamas on October 7. They died in an Israeli operation in Khan Younis and their bodies are still being held by Hamas😿.
Trending in the UK, Nigel Farage has announced he will stand for elections in a surprise U-turn😹. He previously said he wouldn't stand but now says he will lead the anti immigration Reform UK party.
Meanwhile, PM Rishi Sunak and labour candidate Keir Starmer will be debating each other Tuesday night. The election is scheduled for 4 July.
Speaking of immigration, across the pond in the US, Biden is set to unveil an order restricting asylum at US mexico border.
Speaking of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum will become the first woman to become president after a resounding victory in the just concluded polls.
She won with more than 59% of the vote. Congratulations 🎊 to her but winning is the first step, the task ahead of her is enormous.
Finally, some sports news, french football star Kylian Mpabbe is set to join the number one team in Europe, Real Madrid. He said it's a dream come true, congratulations 🎉 to him and real Madrid🎊
