Happy hump day 😎🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. As always glad you stopped by. Hopefully you have had or are having a great day💯. I am definitely grateful for this day and as it draws to a close, it's time to take a peek into how my stepping went and also share some of the trending stories I came across. Come on, let's get it done 💨.
So as usual I had two major walks just like yesterday, starting off with the fast paced brisk walk around the neighbourhood. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores and a little bit of resting. The afternoon saw me walk to the shopping centre for some groceries. As always I squeezed in my usual nap before the evening set in. Then it was time for the slow paced evening walk enjoying the cool evening breeze🍃. Meanwhile in between the day I had been watching the trending stories on the news and also a little bit of crypto/twitter. let's dive into that next
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, another devastating day in Gaza, there was an attack on a crowd that had gathered to connect to the internet in Gaza city😿. Seven people killed🙀. Then several people killed in another Israeli attack in Rafa, in the south😭.
Also trending, UK and German diplomats were in Israel. Meanwhile Hezbollah launched several drones into northern Israel🙀. Both sides have been firing at each other across the borders.
In the other war, a report says that more than 50,000 Russians killed in war with Ukraine🙀. The rate of casualties accelerated last year as inexperienced troops arrived on the front lines.
In Croatia, exit polls show that the ruling party is heading for a win but without a majority.
Across the pond in the US, president Biden has urged Congress to end the impasse and send aid to Israel and Ukraine. Ukraine have been really struggling as they face a shortage of ammunition.
Finally, in crazy weather, the gulf states of UAE and Oman have been lushed by heavy rainfall that has caused flash floods🙀. Many passengers stuck ad Dubai international airport said it was facing very challenging conditions. It advised some passengers not to turn up as many areas were inundated with water, including some runways🙀. Over 290 flights to and from cancelled.
Let's hope the skies calm down as soon as possible. All's well that ends well 💯.
