Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Caturday 🐈, happy new year🎊 and a very warm welcome from Bob and yours truly😹. It's Bob's and other furry friends day to claw 🐾 into the blockchain😻 and as always glad you stopped by. It's been a great day and as it fades away, I am raring to go with my stepping activities and also share some of the trending stories. Thank you for reading and let's dive in💨.
So as usual, I kicked off early with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighborhood 🌲. A short session but it was a beautiful sunny 🌞 morning.
Then I was back indoors for a bit of resting before embarking on the little house chores around the house. Up and down and in between I kept watching the news for trending stories. Then later in the afternoon a quick stop at the mall for groceries. Next, I was back indoors sleeping for the usual refreshing afternoon nap💤. The evening came in quite swiftly, I was up, cooking and watching a bit of youtube.The sunset walk came as it was almost getting dark, as always slow paced enjoying the cool evening/night breeze. I finally made it back home safe and sound calling it a day.
So that was my day but lets finish with some of the trending stories.
Locally, a rather quiet day except for the usual political shenanigans 😹, It's the weekend so the politicians are roaming everywhere.
Globally, things are still the same as yesterday in Gaza. The relentless Israeli bombing went on. Khan Younis in the south was under heavy bombardment 😿. In the past 24 hours 122 Palestinians have been killed bringing the total death toll to over 22,700😭.
UN declaring that a humanitarian catastrophe is slowly brewing as lots of people face starvation, unfortunately it will be children who will suffer the most😿.
In Israel, families of Hamas captives gathered in Tel Aviv demanding their govt do more to rescue and bring them home.
Also trending, Hezbollah in Lebanon have fired a barrage of missiles into northern Israel in response to the killing of Hamas deputy leader Sàleh al Arouri in Beirut a few days ago. Sirens were heard in several towns in north Israel.
In Europe, pro Palestinian demonstrations were held in Milan, Berlin and Paris. Protesters asking for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, accusing PM Netanyahu of committing genocide🙀.
In Ukraine, Russia bombed Donetsk residential area killing 11people😭.
Finally, across the pond in the US. It was a trip to hell for 174 passengers of Alaska airlines after a window/ emergency door was blown out mid air 16,000 feet or 5,000 metres in the sky🙀. The plane had just taken off from Oregon and had to land back. US regulators are ordering the grounding and review of 171 boeing max planes that are in use worldwide. The involved plane is only months old🙀, so thats quite shocking and alarming. Let's hope they get to the bottom of everything💯.
