Hello Everyone,
Happy Tuesday, happy Boxing Day 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. It's been another wonderful and active day stepping it out. As always thank you for being here and let's quickly take a look at how my day has been including some of the trending stories. Here we go again 💨.
So just like yesterday, I started the day with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 around the neighborhood 🌲. A nice session and then I was back indoors for some resting and the usual house chores.
Later in the afternoon I stopped by the city centre for a couple of errands before heading back home.
I later had my usual nap and then woke up to some cooking and news. Next it was time for the sunset walk, that went well and I made it back home safe and sound. To finish off let's quickly look at the trending stories of the day.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going, otherwise a quiet day. People still in rest mode as the holiday season goes on🎉🎊.
Globally, another devastating day in Gaza as 241 Palestinians killed in the last 24 hours😭. In the north Israel has shelled UN run schools in Jabaliya refugee camp that was sheltering displaced people, killing and injuring several😿.
In the south of Gaza, isreali shelling hit a red crescent building in Khan Younis🙀.
According to Gaza health ministry the death toll is now 20,915 killed and 54,918 killed😿.
Trending in Israel, families and relatives of Hamas captives have demonstrated asking the govt to do more to secure the release of their loved ones from Gaza.
Meanwhile PM Netanyahu has warned that the war could continue for months🙀.
On a different note, Israel says it will no longer grant automatic visas to employees of UN🙀. 142 UN workers have been killed in Gaza since October 7 making it the deadliest war in UN's history.
Also trending, Yemen houthi fighters say they carried out drone attacks on port city of Eilat in southern Israel🙀.
In the Red Sea, they are also targeting Israel linked ships in response to the ongoing war in Gaza. Vowing to continue as long as Israel bombs Gaza😿.
Trending in Europe, Russia has confirmed damage to a warship in the Black Sea. The ministry of defence has said the ship was struck by Ukrainian aircraft carrying guided missiles.
Seems like this war will carry on into 2024😿.
