Hello everyone 👋,
Happy hump day 😎 happy holidays🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report 😊. It's another 24 hours to be grateful for and just before it turns into Thursday let's quickly take a look at how my day has been and share some of the trending stories I came across. You know how we do it, let's go💨.
So as usual I had two major walks just like yesterday, starting off with the fast paced brisk walk around the neighbourhood. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores and a little bit of resting. The afternoon saw me walk to the shopping centre for some cooking groceries. As always I squeezed in my usual nap before evening set in. Then it was time for the slow paced evening walk enjoying the cool evening breeze🍃. So in between the day I had been watching the trending stories on the news and also in crypto.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going, otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, Gaza still trending as Israel continued it's unrelenting bombings.
That's in the north and south.
According to Gaza health ministry the death toll has now surpassed 20,000 with women and children in the majority😭.
Street battles are also taking place between Israeli forces and Hamas fighters in Khan Younis🙀.
Also trending, Hamas political chief Ismail Haniyeh is in Cairo Egypt for talks on possible ceasefire and captives release.
Then sources say discussions between Qatari, US and Israeli officials in Warsaw Poland were positive. Keeping fingers crossed that a diplomatic solution will be found to stop the deaths💯.
Across the pond in the US, UN security council delayed vote for the third time on a draft resolution calling for a pause in hostilities in Gaza.
US secretary of state, Anthony Blinken has said Israel must shift to more targeted operations in the Gaza strip so as to minimize the number of civilians being killed.
Also trending, a court has ruled that Donald Trump cannot run for president in Colorado because of his actions ahead of January 6 riot🙀. He has said he will be appealing that decision.
Finally, forced to flee the Iceland volcano;4,000 evacuees must spend xmas away from home. Some are worried that thier village will disappear form the map🙀.
