Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Thursday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report 😊. It's almost mid month, I've had just another ordinary day stepping it out and as bedtime beckons, it's time to quickly take a look at how my day has been plus some of the trending stories I came across. As always thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
So I kicked off the day with some brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighbourhood 🌲. A cloudy day but with some beautiful morning breeze 🍃. Then I was back indoors for some resting, a little bit of daily chores and catching up with the news. The next chance of walking came in the afternoon out to the city centre for some errands. As always I squeezed in the afternoon nap and woke up some time early evening. After some news and you tube, it was time for the slow paced sunset walk. I had a nice walk then was back indoors still watching news, reading a few stuff before bedtime. So now let's quickly take a look at a summary of what was trending.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, a rather quiet day though.
Globally, Israel's continued with the bombings of Gaza various locations. According to Gaza health ministry the death toll for today is 200 Palestinians killed and lots more injured😭.
Gaza's main telecoms companies say all communication and internet services are down🙀.
Also trending, us national security advisor Jake Sullivan stopped by in Israel and met PM Netanyahu. He told the PM that the US wants Israel to transition war to lower intensity phase in weeks🙀. Whatever that means😹.
Israel has however warned that the war in Gaza could go on for several months🙀.
Israeli army has ended it's longest raid so far in the occupied west bank since the war on Gaza began. Over 100 Palestinians dead and hundreds arrested😿.
Israeli military says it has destroyed explosives and seized weapons during days long raid in Jenin.
Not far off, Pakistan trending as thousands of undocumented Afghanistan nationals have been ordered to leave Pakistan🙀. Most of them dreading the harsh winter that awaits them😿.
Finally, EU leaders have agreed to start accession talks with Ukraine at a high stakes summit that kicked off today in Brussels. Moldova also expected to start accession plans too. President Zelensky said EU accession talks are a victory for Ukraine🎊🎉.
