Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Caturday 🐈 and a very warm welcome from Bob and yours truly😹. It's Bob's day to claw 🐾 into the blockchain, so give it up for him and other furry friends 😻. We just began the weekend, hopefully you are having a nice day this far. As for me I have had a great day stepping it out and just about now I wanna fill you in on how it went and also share some of the trending stories. Thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 and jogging 👟 around the neighborhood 🌲. Today was much warmer than yesterday so I made the most of it in the fresh morning air🍃. Then I was back indoors for a bit of resting before embarking on the little house chores around the house. Up and down and in between I kept watching the news for trending stories. Then later in the afternoon a quick stop at the mall for groceries. Next, I was back indoors sleeping for the usual refreshing afternoon nap💤. The evening came in quite swiftly, I was up, cooking and watching a bit of youtube. There were some interesting soccer matches going on in the premier league.
The sunset walk came as it was almost getting dark, as always slow paced enjoying the cool evening/night breeze. I finally made it back home safe and sound calling it a day.
So that was my day but lets finish with some of the trending stories.
Locally the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going, otherwise a quiet day.
Globally, Gaza still trending as today Hamas delayed release of hostages until Israel let's aid into northern Gaza 🙀.
However, Hamas says it will resume planned release of 13 Israeli captives from Gaza despite the delay. This after Hamas received reassurances from mediators Qatar and Egypt that Israel will abide by the ceasefire deal.
Meanwhile Israel will also go ahead and release 39 Palestinian prisoners as per today's agreement. At least the bombings have stopped and the aid is flowing in😸.
Lets go to Europe where, Russia has launched it's biggest drone attack on Kyiv since full scale invasion of Ukraine began last year. Officials said more than 75 Iranian made shahed drones were fired at Kyiv🙀.
Fortunately all but one were shot down😹.
Residents were woken by explosions before dawn, and for more than six hours, the booms of kyiv's air defence echoed through the city. There were no reported deaths but at least five people were injured😿.
Also trending, over 100,000 people took part in a protest in London calling for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza. London police have warned against the use of language that incites hatred against any faith.
Finally, across the pond in Argentina, the new president elect Javier Milei said that the closure of central bank was NOT a negotiable matter😹. Let's wait and see the changes he implements.
