TGIF 🍻🍷 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. The last weekend of November is upon us and the stepping continued unabated. It's that time of day to share some of the trending stories and also how my day has been. As always many thanks for stopping by and let's take it away 💨.
So as always my day began with a little bit of stretching then a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. That fresh morning breeze🍃 was so wonderful. A nice short walk then I was back indoors where I rested then got on with the little daily chores around the house. In between I caught up with the latest news and watched some crypto and youtube. My next walking came later in the afternoon getting some fruits and veggies at the shopping centre. Then I was back indoors for the usual nap. I woke up feeling refreshed some time early evening. watched the news then it was time for the sunset walk. As always slow paced around the neighbourhood and park. So that was the stepping and now let's quickly look at what trended in the media.
Locally, nothing much happening except the usual political shenanigans 😹, otherwise a quiet day.
On the continent, South Africa trending as former paralympic champion Oscar Pistorius is to be freed from jail on parole, nearly 11 years after murdering his girlfriend on valentine's day 2013. He was to serve 13 years but will be Freed on 5 Jan 2024🙀.
Speaking of being freed; Hamas released 24 captives from Gaza while Israel released 39 Palestinians from prison. This as a four day ceasefire kicked off.
The bombardment has been paused for the first time in seven weeks. What a relief for the people of Gaza💯. Another good thing is that trucks with aid of food, fuel and medicines have started coming in. Today 137 trucks unloaded🎊.
So over the next four days more captives will be freed. Whatever will happen after the four days nobody knows. However, Israel insisting that the war will resume😿.
Finally, bitcoin just hit an 18 month high today as it touched $38k, that's the highest since May 2022. 2024 and 2025 expected to be very bullish years in crypto💯. Keep stacking and hodling😹.
