Hello everyone 👋,
Happy hump day 😎🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. Its yet another 24 hours to be grateful for 💯, it's also the first day of November, hi November😹. I have had a great day and as it draws to a close am raring to go with my stepping activities and also share what's trending in the media streets. As always thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
I kicked off the day with a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. It was a cloudy morning as I made my way. Anyways, I did enjoy my walk and was back indoors an hour later. I then rested for a while, caught up with emails, watched the news and then the usual chores around the house.
My next stepping came later in the afternoon going to the city centre for some errands. Still a dull cloudy day as I made my way. It was nap time when I got back indoors, I woke up some time early evening and got on with the cooking, watching a little bit of news and youtube.
Next came the evening or sunset walk, it looked like it would rain but it didn't and I made it back home safe and sound. Now let's quickly look at what has been trending in the news today.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹; then also trending, King Charles and queen Camilla continued their trip in the country, today they headed for Kenyan coast. I told you the royals love Kenya, princess Elizabeth in 1952 was enjoying the Kenyan highlands when she found out she would be queen as her father King George had died in the UK.
Globally, all eyes on Gaza as Israel continued the aerial bombing. Today hitting the Jabaliya refugee camp for a second time🙀. The death toll is at 8,796 with thousands more injured😭.
Today Egypt opened the Rafa border crossing letting out foreign nationals and critically injured Palestinians for treatment in Egypt.
Also trending, Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh has said Netanyahu is trying to avoid jail and save a few close to him by destroying the entire Gaza region🙀.He started the war to avoid jail for his corruption. He further called on US not to supply him with weapons and for world leaders to stand with Gaza to be on the right side of history.Did he forget that Hamas triggered all these with that October 7th attack? Not taking sides as there are wrongs on both sides.
Jordan trending as they recalled their ambassador to Israel, saying he won't return until Israel stops Gaza bombing. Bolivia, Chile and Columbia have also recalled their ambassadors out of Israel🙀.
While we are all watching Gaza, Russia bombarded 118 Ukrainian towns and villages in 24 hours😿. More than any other day this year. This according to the interior minister. He added that 10 of Ukraine's 27 regions had come under attack and the onslaught had caused deaths and injuries😭.
Finally, markets rose after the Federal reserve hit pause on rate hikes.Look out for a rise in crypto prices, btc rose to 35k. Hodl and keep stacking those sats💯.
