Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Monday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. Hopefully your week is off to a great start. Mine has been wonderful and it's now time to wind down and look forward to bedtime. Before that please allow me to fill you in on how my day has been including some of the trending stories that caught my eye.As always thank you for reading and let's get it done💨.
So I had two major walks, starting off early with fast paced morning session. I brisk walked around the neighbourhood. At least today the sun was out on a beautiful Monday morning with an amazing fresh breeze🍃. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores. later in the afternoon, I stopped by the shopping center then was back home for some cooking followed by the usual nap. In between I did check out some trending news and watched some you tube. Finally I finished off the day with the slow paced evening walk in the cool evening breeze.
So what's been trending. Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going 😹. National school exams have kicked off across the country. Best of luck to all candidates💯.
Globally, the world's attention still on Gaza as serious aerial bombardment by Israel kept going.
A Turkish hospital, the only one that specializes in cancer treatment in Gaza was hit🙀.
The death toll continues to climb following the bombarding, the death toll touched over 8,300😭. Things are about to get worse as the ground invasion expanded😿. Israeli tanks have reportedly reached Salah Al Din street linking northern and southern Gaza.
Hamas says fighters are engaged in heavy fighting with Israeli army. An Israeli army spokesman claims dozens of Hamas fighters have been killed in the operation since Sunday night.
Meanwhile, PM Netanyahu says ceasefire with Hamas will not happen🙀, adding that even the most just wars have unintended civilian casualties.
Across the pond in the US, the UN security council have met for an emergency meeting called by the UAE. The aim being to have pauses in the bombings in Gaza to allow for humanitarian aid to reach civilians.
Then Dagestan trending as a mob stormed the airport in search of jews🙀. Video footage on social media showed an angry crowd running through the airport seeking people arriving on a flight from Tel Aviv😹.
Trending in football, Argentine footballer Lionel Messi has won his 8th Ballon D'or award . Congratulations to him🎊, well deserved🎉.
Finally in crazy weather, flooding and storms reported in north eastern Kenya🙀 delaying the delivery of exam papers to some schools. Let's hope the rain slows down in that area💯.
