Happy hump day 😎🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. As always glad you stopped by. Hopefully you have had or are having a great day💯. I am definitely grateful for this day and as it draws to a close, it's time to take a peek into how my stepping went and also share some of the trending stories I came across. Come on, let's get it done 💨.
So as usual I had two major walks just like yesterday, starting off with the fast paced brisk walk around the neighbourhood. Then I was back indoors for the usual household chores and a little bit of resting. The afternoon saw me walk to the shopping centre for some groceries. As always I squeezed in my usual nap before the evening set in. Then it was time for the slow paced evening walk enjoying the cool evening breeze🍃. Meanwhile in between the day I had been watching the trending stories on the news and also a little bit of crypto/twitter. let's dive into that next
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going.
Globally, Gaza still in a dire situation. The Israeli aerial bombardment still going on😿. The death toll has hit 6,500😹.
The hospitals near collapse as fuel quickly running out🙀.
Oxfam says starvation is being used as a weapon of war on civilians in Gaza. Adding that about 104 trucks a day would be needed to deliver food to Gaza to overcome the crisis.
Meanwhile, PM Netanyahu, has said Israel is preparing for a Gaza ground invasion but didn't say exactly when that would happen.
Turkey trending as president Erdogan has scrapped Israel trip over what he called an inhumane gaza war🙀.
Meanwhile Ukraine has evacuated children as Russian attacks mount. With fighting intensifying in Donetsk and Kherson, officials are forcibly ordering people to leave😿.
Across the pond in the US, Trump ally Mike Johnson has won house speaker vote. Johnson was the republicans fourth choice for speaker, after previous candidates failed to unite the party, I guess it's congratulations 🎉 to him🎊.
Finally, in crazy weather, hurricane Otis has smashed into the Mexican southern coast. Bringing wind speed of up to 270km/h or 165mph🙀. There's damage and power outages reported. All's well that ends well 💯.
