Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Caturday 🐈 and a very warm welcome from Bob and yours truly😹. It's Bob's day to claw 🐾 into the blockchain, so give it up for him and other furry friends 😻. As for me I have had a great day stepping it out this October day; and just about now I wanna fill you in on how it went and also share some of the trending stories. Thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
It was a nice morning so I had an amazing session of a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. The other time I stepped out was to the shopping center for veggies and fruits around 1 pm. It was a largely cloudy day as I made my way. As always I had my usual afternoon nap, then I got up and had the cooking done.
Finally I had the usual slow paced evening walk enjoying the cool evening breeze 🍃 .In between I was watching the news and also youtube.Some interesting games in the EPL were going on too.
So what's been trending in the media streets? Locally a rather quiet day with the usual political shenanigans 😹.
On the continent, pro Palestinian demonstrations happened in cities like Lagos, Tunis, Algiers people standing with Palestinians demanding a ceasefire and stopping of bombing in Gaza.
Meanwhile, Israel continued it's bombardment with the death toll now at 4,300. Israel military said it will increase attacks on Gaza strip to heighten pressure on Hamas🙀.
On a positive note, first aid trucks carrying food and medicines but not fuel have entered into Gaza from the Rafa crossing🎊. However only 20 trucks crossed, the UN calling it a drop in the ocean🙀
Meanwhile, thousands of Israelis gathered in Tel Aviv demanding release of hostages held in Gaza.
Speaking of protests, let's go to Europe, where thousands of pro Palestinian protesters gathered in central London in solidarity with Palestinians and demand the bombing to stop.
Across the pond, a similar situation in Washington where protesters marched to the Whitehouse demanding a ceasefire in Gaza💯.
Also trending, the US Congress failed to elect a new speaker, entering a third week with no speaker🙀. That means no laws can be passed or any business conducted. Which will hold back funds that Biden wants sent to Ukraine and Israel😿.
