Happy Tuesday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. It's yet another 24 hours to be grateful for, how is your Uptober coming along😹. I truly thank you for being here for a quick look at how my day has been plus some of the trending stories I came across. Let's get started 💨.
So just like yesterday, I started the day with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 around the neighborhood 🌲. It drizzled at night so the ground was a little wet.A nice session and then I was back indoors for some resting and the usual house chores. I did stop by the shopping centre for some groceries then went home to cook.
I later had my usual nap and then woke up to some cooking and news. Next it was time for the sunset walk, that went well and I made it back home safe and sound. To finish off let's quickly look at the trending stories of the day.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going,
Globally, Italy trending as refugees who died off it's coast ten years ago remembered after two tragic shipwrecks😭. Even after ten years a new crisis is flaring up as migrants still make their way🙀.
Then Serbia trending as they arrested the suspected leader of an attack on police in Kosovo on Sept 24. Pristina and Belgrade traded blame after that attack in Northern Kosovo. There's been tension between these two for a while🙀.
Turkey trending too as multiple arrests have been made countrywide following that PKK bombing in Ankara. There's also been some flash floods in the outskirts of Istanbul after heavy rainfall🙀, crazy weather😹.
Not far off, Armenia has accepted ICC jurisdiction angering Russia. Remember ICC have an arrest warrant on Putin😹.
Let's go to Asia, Thailand trending as a deranged teenager opened fire at a shopping mall killing two and injuring five🙀. My sincere condolences to the bereaved families 😭. He was later overpowered and arrested, probably we will find out what his problem really is?
Across the pond in the US, house of representatives have voted on a motion that would remove speaker Kevin McCarthy🙀. Republican Matt Gaetz is behind the push to remove Kevin from speakers seat. He is accused of making deal with democrats to avoid govt shutdown😹. That vote was successful and Kevin McCarthy is out🙀, let's see what happens next.
The courts busy too as Donald Trump appeared in court for day two of his fraud case. Meanwhile, Sam Bankman Fried will also appear for charges of defrauding customers funds of upto $8.9 billion 🙀. He is expected to face a long sentence 😿.
In Delaware, Hunter Biden was in court too, pleading not guilty to federal firearms charges. Making history as the first sitting president's child to be prosecuted🙀.
