Happy Sunday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. Just another ordinary Sunday and the stepping continued unabated. It is actually the last Sunday of August. As always I am truly happy and grateful for this day💯,many wanted to see it but didn't, so we are all blessed. Thank you for being here yet again and before bedtime, let's quickly take a look at how my day went and also some of the trending stories. Here we go again, come on 💨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with the fast paced morning session. Thoroughly enjoyed the cool morning breeze 🍃 as I made my way around the neighborhood 🌲. But it was a short walk. Then I was back indoors for some rest and the daily household chores. A little bit of youtube and cooking then the afternoon saw me go out to the shopping centre for some groceries. Next came the refreshing nap💤. I woke up some time later in the evening and continued watching some of the earlier videos and news. Today was the final day of athletics in Budapest, Hungary more on that later.
I did finish off the day with the slow paced evening walk. Now let's quickly take a look what has been trending in the media streets.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹. Today was the final day of the athletics in Budapest Hungary, am currently watching the closing ceremony. Kenya finished fifth overall with ten medals, first in Africa though🎊, we missed many medals but congratulations to all the winners🎉. See you next year at the Paris Olympics😹.
On the continent, Zimbabwe poll results released announced incumbent president Mnagagwa as the winner, the opposition have rejected the results claiming vote rigging🙀. I guess they will battle it in court but the ruling party is gonna win😹.
Globally Russia trending as the remains of Wagner group Prigozhin were officially identified😭 from the plane crash. Belarusian president Lukashenko has said he had warned Prigozhin and his deputy to be careful🙀.
Let's go across the pond in the US, Florida trending as a deranged man opened fire and killed three black people in what police are calling a racially motivated attack😡. He was armed with a gun and a semi automatic rifle🙀. My sincere condolences to the bereaved families😭.
Still in the US, Donald Trump trending as his campaign raised more than $7 million by selling mugshot merchandise.I guess he is making lemonade out of his lemons😹.
Finally, over 2 million people are expected to attend the Notting hill carnival in west London. It is the largest street party in Europe and it returns to mark its 55th year🎉. Am amazing spectacle of music, dance and steel bands is expected along the five kilometer parade. Sounds like lots of fun💯.
