Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Thursday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report 😊. I've had just another ordinary day stepping it out and as bedtime beckons, it's time to quickly take a look at how my day has been plus some of the trending stories I came across. As always thank you for reading and let's take it away 💨.
So I kicked off the day with some brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighbourhood 🌲. A cloudy day but with some beautiful morning breeze 🍃. Then I was back indoors for some resting, a little bit of daily chores and catching up with the news. The next chance of walking came in the afternoon out to the city centre for a few errands . As always I squeezed in the afternoon nap and woke up some time early evening. After some news and you tube, it was time for the slow paced sunset walk. I had a nice walk then was back indoors still watching news, reading a few stuff before bedtime. So now let's quickly take a look at a summary of what was trending.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, a rather quiet day though.
On the continent, leaders of south Africa, Brazil, India and China continued with the BRICS summit in Jo'burg. As from next year they have agreed to admit six more countries to the bloc including Egypt, Ethiopia, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Argentina. It's gonna be a powerful union 💯.
Globally, Russia trending as the Kremlin finally confirmed the death of Prigozhin the head of the Wagner group in a plane crash😭. President Putin sent condolences to his family. Putin described him as a man of difficult fate, who was talented and achieved results. An investigation will be done but it seems as if he was taken out😡. He brought it on himself with that failed mutiny.
Let's go across the pond in the US, Donald Trump is expected to surrender in Georgia to charges of his fourth indictment. He will have his mugshot and fingerprints taken😹. Being charged of trying to overturn the election and racketeering.
In crazy weather, the forest fire in Turkey has led to evacuations as it reached some villages close by. A similar happening in Greece as firefighters battle a couple of fires 🔥 being fuelled by strong winds.
Let's finish in Asia, where Japan trending as they began releasing the treated Fukushima water into the Pacific ocean🙀. Hopefully they are right that the radiation in there is insignificant. Otherwise it will be disastrous. China are not trusting it and have henceforth banned any seafood imports from Japan😹
